WELCOME!

Pine Valley Post is lovingly dedicated to our family, both those who went before and those who will come after including our own children and our niece and nephews. . . . . Keith and Bonnie Bracken

COWS 101

Here are some basic facts about cows:

  1. When the gate is open, they will go out.
  2. Once they are out they take lots of time and effort to get back in.
  3. If the fence in broken, cows will walk through.
  4. Cows owned by Keith or his cousin Alray are generally quite tame and mild.
  5. Cows poop on the ground anywhere.
  6. Cows will poop on your camping or picnic area unless they are fenced out.
  7. Tame cows enjoy a scratch behind the ears.
  8. Cows have four stomachs.  They digest their food by spitting it up and re-chewing it, called "chewing their cud".  This is usually done while resting, which is most of the time.
  9. Because they chew their cud all day their spit is slimy and green.  Pretty harmless, but yucky non-the-less.
  10. Cows will lick your vehicle (Draw your own conclusions).
  11. Cows will  rub up against your vehicle and since a grown cow usually weighs between 1,000 and 1200 pounds, a car rubbed by a cow may lose its attachments - such as mirrors, chrome, etc.
Keep your car safe and the cows where they belong while you are camping or picnicking at the old house by closing the gate to the big pasture to keep the cows out of your area.  By containing the cows, you can then leave the main gate open while you are there.  SEE EXAMPLE  BELOW!

Oh, Heck, There's a cow in our truck now!

There Goes The Concrete!  Hope that cow didn't get much.
I REST MY CASE!
