One time this October Keith and I were walking through the field at Pine Valley and we could hear the church bell ring in the distance. He stopped, cocked his head and told me to listen.
He had remembered that the Church bell would toll exactly a half-hour before time for Sunday School. It would let everyone in the valley know it was time to get to Church. As we talked, we realized it was exactly one-half hour before time for the adult session of General Conference, which would be broadcast to this tiny antique chapel the same as for all the chapels around the world that could receive it. We want you to know of this wonderful historical custom and how it was a part of the lives of Keith and his sisters Bonnie and Lori.
